Mariah Carey Thinks She Can Act

Pedia is reporting that Mariah Carey has been the front runner to act in the upcoming independent film "Tennessee." This comes as a completely asinine and insane move after that last movie she did, Glitter. If you didn't see it, consider yourself lucky. I had a girlfriend at the time, so I was screwed. I guess Mariah is suppose to play some waitresses who saves her brother's life or something. I really don't care so I stopped reading the preview quickly.
The director said: "I never saw , but I liked her work in the other film. Because this character is inter-racial and struggles with all sorts of issues because of that, I thought she was perfect.”
He never saw the movie? How can you cast someone if you don't watch their one previous movie. Is this guy nuts? I don't care if her CD sold well, it doesn't mean she can act. She isn't hot enough to carry a movie on her looks like Britney did back with Crossroads. I can't believe I just said that. I just threw up in my mouth. A little bit.
