CNN Entertainment is reporting Joaquin Phoenix's car overturned on a canyon road and collided with another vehicle after his brakes went out, but luckily there were no injuries. Phoenix was driving eastbound by Sunset Strip at about 2:50 p.m. when he suddenly realized his brakes were not working. He than lost control of the car, which ended up overturning and hitting another vehicle.


His publicist, Susan Patricola revealed in a statement:


"Phoenix was wearing his seat belt and walked away from the scene after being helped out of his vehicle by a passer-by."

My first thought was "This guy must be like superman or something", but after more thought I changed my mind. Mostly because I was getting hungry for lunch, but also because I usually walk away from car wrecks all the time. It's part of the image. I'm considered such a reckless bad boy that it would hurt the children too much to see me carried away in an ambulance. Kids need more heroes nowadays.
